Vasilis Sjogren Tzanetopoulos, a master’s graduate of fine art at the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm. Born and raised in Athens Greece, with a Swedish mother, Vasilis came to mystify his childhood memories from the very north of Sweden.
This painting in particular interprets memories from reading books about the Mumin family by Tove Jansson, a very popular children’s tale from Finland (from 1945 and on). Specifically the Mumin book “Late in November” as this is Vasili’s take on an early November morning in the north.
Mixed media, watercolor, and oil. Handmade wooden frame.
